The Nigerian Senate has today, Thursday, July 18, 2024, passed the first reading of a Bill to establish a new orthopedic hospital in Onicha Ugbo, Delta State. Sponsored by Senator Ned Munir Nwoko (Delta North), the Bill seeks to amend the Orthopedic Hospital Management Board Act, Cap. O10 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
The proposed amendment will include the establishment of the Orthopedic Hospital in Onicha Ugbo under the jurisdiction of the Orthopedic Hospital Management Board, with an affiliation to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara.
