The Force Insurance Officer, CSP Lydia Ameh has commended the Inspector-General of Police for his unwavering guidance and total commitment to the welfare of personnel of the Force.
Ameh made the disclosure during the presentation of Insurance benefits to families of officers who died in the line of duty.
According to Ameh, who is driving the IGP’s vision on insurance for officers both alive and dead, noted that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun’s desire to ensure adequate welfare for policemen is unmatched.
“First and foremost, I will like to sincerely appreciate the Inspector-General of Police for his unwavering guidance and total commitment to the welfare of personnel of the Force.
“This has made it possible for us to record another epic success today as we gather to present cheques in respect of Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Scheme to 727 beneficiaries of our deceased Officers and men who lost their lives in line of duty for the Insurance Policy years of 2018/2019, 2021/2022, and 2022/2023, amounting to One Billion, Five Hundred and Ninety-Four Million, Six Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand, One Hundred and Fifty-One Naira, Sixty-Six kobo (#1,594,625,151.66K) only.”
She added: “This giant stride was achievable by the paternal love of the Inspector General of Police who is constantly making sure that the welfare of Personnel of the Force is a paramount priority.
“As I sympathize with the families of our brave heroes who paid the supreme prize in line of duty, be assured that the Inspector General of Police and his Management team are committed in ensuring that all pending claims from years back are paid, this presentation today is a prove of their dedication to this resolve.
