The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has approved the redeployment of DIG Hafiz M. Inuwa, to head the Department of Logistics and Supply, and the posting of the recently promoted Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, DIG Bala Ciroma, and DIG Emeka Frank Mba, to head the Department of Training and Development and the Department of Research and Planning respectively.
According to police spokesman, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, with the recent elevation, DIG Ciroma has become the supervising DIG for the North-East, while DIG Mba assumes a supervisory role over the South-East Geo political zone.
Similarly, the IGP has approved the posting/redeployment of seventeen (17) Assistant Inspectors-General of Police to various commands and formations.
AIG Abubakar Lawal is now in charge of Zone 10 Sokoto, while AIG Zone 15, Maiduguri is AIG Abdul Umar and
AIG Zone 7, Abuja is AIG Williams Adebowale.
However, AIG Armament FHQ Abuja, is AIG Shettima Zanna, while AIG Zone 17 Akure, is AIG Ebong Eyibio Ebong and
AIG Maritime Lagos, is AIG Adepoju Ayinde Ilori.
AIG FCID Annex Kaduna is AIG Okon Okon Effiong, while AIG Zone 9 Umuahia, is AIG Echeng Eworo Echeng and Commandant Staff College Jos, is AIG Susan Ukpanukiema Horsefall.
AIG DFA FHQ Abuja isAIG Bankole Lanre Sikiru, while AIG Zone 11 Osogbo, is AIG Oladimeji Yomi Olanrewaju and AIG FEDOPS FHQ Abuja is now AIG Odama Paul Ojeka.
AIG Forensic is AIG Shehu Gwarzo while AIG R&P, FHQ Abuja, is AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku and AIG FCID Alagbon Lagos, is AIG Yahaya S. Abubakar.
AIG Zone 1 Kano is AIG Umar M. Sanda, while AIG CTU FHQ Abuja, is AIG Ede Ayuba.
“The Inspector-General of Police has, therefore, charged the Senior Police Officers to continue to entrench professionalism and respect for rights of citizens in their new places of assignment. He equally tasked them to pursue the task of ensuring public safety and security in their AORs with renewed vigour. The posting is with immediate effect.”
