The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Ndudi Elumelu, has received appreciation from communities in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency for attracting and ensuring the completion of new development projects in their communities, even outside of office.
This comes with the completion of new projects including the ICT Centres in Okwe and Onicha-Ugbo.
Also completed are the new palaces of  traditional rulers in Ewulu, Ubulu-Unor, Okpanam and Onicha-Olona.
In the same vein, the ongoing construction of the phase 1 and phase 2 of the Issele-Uku Main Market Road is also being appreciated by residents of Issele-Uku, the administrative headquarters of Aniocha North Local Government.
Reacting to the Palace Project in his Community, the traditional ruler of the Ubulu-Unor kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Obi Henry Kikachukwu, commended Elumelu for his show of Love to him and his people by way of influencing the Palace and other projects to the Ubulu-Unor kingdom.
The Royal Father prayed to God Almighty to strengthen the renowned politician and Federal Lawmaker and said that God is not yet done with him.
Also commending Elumelu, the traditional ruler of Ewulu kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Obi Godwin Onyeweuwa, Obi of Ewulu, confirmed that the Ewulu Palace Project has been completed, describing it as a very good and timely people oriented project.
The Ewulu Monarch disclosed that the former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives has always been a friend of the people of Ewulu and credited most of the credible people oriented projects in the community to him.
“When we cried out to him for a Town Hall, Ewulu was given one. He also provided us with Street Solar Lights and now, the Palace Project has been completed,’ Obi Onyeweuwa affirmed.
He further maintained that at the moment, Ewulu and Isheagu are being electrified and at the same time, being connected to the national grid through the efforts of Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu.
“To that extent, with his visible hand in Ewulu, what he has been doing for us, we will not be tired of saying thank you to Elumelu. He has been a light to the entire Ewulu Community,” the Royal Father said.
Also commending Elumelu, the President-General, Onicha-Olona Development Union, Sir Patrick Ejidoh, described the Onicha-Olona Palace as a fine edifice. He said the people of the Community appreciate Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu for his forthrightness in bringing the Project to the town for their benefit.
“We thank God for the completion of the Palace Project.
“Our message for Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu is a sincere appreciation from the entire people of Onicha-Olona. We are grateful to him for attracting such an edifice to us.
“We appreciate him, we thank him, we have him in our hearts anytime any day and our prayer is that God will continue to bless him and order his steps towards continuous help to the society,” he prayed.
Sir Ejidoh further pledged that with the completion and handing over of the project, the Onicha-Olona Community would do all within their power to put it into judicious use while carrying out routine maintenance of the edifice.
Similarly, the President General, Okpanam Community Development Union, Chief Robert Elue Ogonenwe, expressed surprise that despite the fact that Elumelu is not a sitting member of the House of Representatives, he is able to attract and ensure the execution of a befitting Palace for the People of Okpanam.
“It shows the kind of person he is and we as the People of Okpanam, we are really very thankful to him. We are going to express our love and sincere appreciation in a special way.
“It is unexpected; for the fact that Hon. Elumelu is not in the office and he is able to attract and construct this kind of a wonderful Palace Project for the people of Okpanam Community, assuming that he is still in Office (Power), I am sure he would have done more.
“So we are happy and very grateful to him. It shows that he is a Man that can be trusted,’ Ogonenwe said, even as he assured that the newly completed Palace, having been handed over to the Community, would be adequately taken care of in terms of maintenance.
