Four branches of a white-garment denomination, C&S, in Ondo State, have been sealed off by authorities regulating the activities of religious organisations over alleged fetishism and deeds capable of tarnishing the image of Christianity.

The President of Ondo State Unification of Leaders of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Primate Ade Ademisokun-Turton, disclosed this while briefing journalists in Akure at the weekend, saying the sealed churches were caught in fetish acts.

Ademisokun-Turton, who is fondly called “Onibode Aseyori” by his followers and congregation, said the regulating body of the church took the drastic action against the erring branches.

He affirmed that the division that used to characterise the C&S church was no longer there, adding that the Unification of Leaders of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, which is the main regulating body, had united the church more.

According to him, “Not too long ago, we sealed some churches and they still remain sealed because they don’t know anything about C&S. We are not going to take that anymore.

“We believe we are the first Pentecostal church in the whole of Africa and the spirit of the Lord is still with us. The missing areas that have not been properly addressed by our leaders have been re-addressed now,” he said.
