Former Customs image-maker, Dera Nnadi takes over as Ogun Customs Area Controller

Former Customs image-maker of Apapa Ports Command, Comptroller Dera Nnadi has taken over the mantle of leadership of Ogun I Command of Nigeria Customs Service.

Nnadi took over from Comptroller Peter Kolo on Monday, October 18, 2021.

This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson of the Command, DSC Hammed Bukoye Oloyede.

Comptroller Nnadi, prior to his appointment had served in the Command as Deputy Comptroller in charge of Administration and was recently promoted to the rank of Comptroller of Customs.

In his handing over speech, Comptroller Peter Kolo lauded the CGC and the management for giving him the opportunity and level-playing ground to serve as the Area Controller of Ogun I Command. He expressed gratitude to the principal and entire officers for their unflinching support and cooperation.

He congratulated the new Customs Area Controller and described his appointment as a round peg in a round hole.

He added that he is rest assured that he will sustain his legacy and even build on it. He prays and wishes him well in his new endeavor.

In his own response, Comptroller Dera Nnadi applauded the NCS Management for finding him worthy of the position and pledged to discharge his duty with due diligence and high sense of responsibility.

He praised the outgoing CAC for his mentorship and selfless service to the Nation. He appreciated his administrative style and promised to uphold his legacy to an enviable status for the Service. He wishes him happy and peaceful retirement.

He called on all the principal officers and the entire officers and men of the command to extend their loyalty and cooperation to him.

Comptroller Peter Kolo has proceeded on his three months pre-retirement leave.

As spokesman of Apapa Command, Dera bonded with newsmen and sustained his relationship with many of them when he was moved to operations section of NCS.
