FCT police arrest 3 over death of Abuja popular chef

Detectives are at the verge of resolving the murder of popular Abuja chef, Mr. Vincent Eluagu Chukwuemeka popularly known as Chef Emeka as three prime suspects have been arrested.

Spokesperson of the command, Josephine Adeh told newsmen that operatives of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command arrested the suspects.

Detectives of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command had commenced manhunt for killers of the popular Nigerian chef, Emeka, who was found dead at his home in Abuja.

“The investigations by the police team led to the arrest of the male suspects, Kingsley Obinna, 24, Musa Tanimu, 25 and Mohammed Sha’aba 26, for their complicity in the crime. Investigations by the homicide section of the Command Criminal Investigations Department (CID) clearly revealed how the suspects gruesomely murdered the victim in cold blood.

“The CP, while condoling with the family and friends of the deceased, assured that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of the investigations.

While the cause of his death remains uncertain, an account by some of his friends claims he was stabbed to death by assailants who gained access into his home.

 

Another account claims the deceased was killed by two persons who he granted access to his apartment. They allegedly stripped him naked, tied him up, and then strangled him.

 

Eloagu is the creative director of Helenes Food Company, an Abuja-based brand.

 

It was gathered that the lifeless body of the chef was found in his apartment on Sunday, August 1.
