The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Delta State on Health Monitoring and member, Delta State COVID-19 Team, Dr. Michael Nwoko, has sent hearty congratulations to Muslims in Delta State as they celebrate 2020 Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Dr. Nwoko in a statement made available bu his media aide, urged Muslims in the state to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the healing of the land of the COVID-19 pandemic and also for continuous peace and security in the state.
The statement reads: “As our Muslim brothers and Sisters celebrate this years Eld-el-kabir, I want to use this medium to heartily felicitate with them on this happy moment and auspicious day in the Islamic calendar.”
“As we celebrate, let us pray for continuous peace and security in Delta State and also for the healing of the land of COVID-19 pandemic.”
“We should also observe the celebration in accordance with the safety protocols clearly spelt out by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).”
“Once again, I wish you all a joyful celebration. Please stay safe.” Dr. Nwoko stated.
