EID-EL-FITRI: Michael Nwoko felicitates muslims, urges peace, security

The SSA to the Governor on Health Monitoring and Coordinator of Delta State Health Monitoring Team, Dr. Michael Nwoko has sent warm felicitation to Muslims in Delta State and across the Country as they mark this year’s Eid-El-Fitri.

Dr. Nwoko sent the warm felicitation and good will message to the Muslim community through his media coordinator this morning in Asaba.While congratulating Muslims for successfully observing the holy month of Ramadan, Dr. Nwoko said, “I call on Muslims and all citizens to pray for Peace, Security and prosperity of the Country as well as love amongst Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic, cultural and political differences as they they mark this year’s Eid-El-Fitr. ” It is important to uphold the vital lessons of love, peace and perseverance which the holy month teaches.

“I also urge Muslims to pray for the nation’s leaders to remain focused in the discharge of their duties for public good and dwell more on the things that unites us as a Nation”.

The ebullient SSA urged Muslims to remain steadfast in applying the virtues of Ramadan through sustained supplication, hospitality and good neighbourliness, calling on citizens to pray for the peace, security and economic prosperity of Delta State and Nigeria.

“The Holy month of Ramadan is an opportunity for our Muslim brothers and sisters to deepen their relationship with Allah, promote life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.”

Dr. Nwoko continued by stating that the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa – Led administration was committed to promoting peaceful co-existence in the State adding that all Muslims in Delta State should use this period of Eid-El-Fitr to sustain these values even after the holy month and to continually pray for a prosperous and peaceful Delta State where everyone can actualize their dreams.

“Let us at all times show love to one another and also teach our children to show love and compassion and God in his infinite mercy will multiply our blessings,” he said.

“Once again, I wish you all a happy Eid-El-Fitr celebration”. Dr. Nwoko concluded.
