Delta State police boss, Ali Mohammed Ari has rejiged police motorized patrol around expressway with heavy bushes across the state.

He said the move was to ensure 24-hours police visibility along corridors in the state that are black spots for criminals.

According to him, the rapid patrol of operatives has yielded positive results.

Ali, had removed three divisional police officers (DPOs) in the state over what he called security lapses in their jurisdictions.

The police commissioner, who disclosed this during an interaction with newsmen in Asaba recently, gave the positions of the affected persons as DPO Warri, DPO Sapele and DPO ‘C Division’, Asaba.

According to him, it will serve as a warning signal to others that are not ready to buckle down to tackle crimes in the areas.

This singular move has restored confidence among residents of Sapele, Aniocha, Oshimili, Ika, Ethiope, Isoko LGA’s in the state.

The police boss has also deployed decoy operatives around the black spots communities.
