Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated former Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Chief Andrew Orugbo as he clocks 63 years on Tuesday, August 15.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the Governor lauded Orugbo for his meritorious service to the State as a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and Chairman Governing Council, Delta State Polytechnic Otefe-Oghara.
He also commended Orugbo, a renowned chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for his unwavering commitment to the party, adding that his grassroot credentials stood him out among contemporary politicians of his time.
“You have continued to demonstrate uncommon dedication and sound knowledge of the political terrain in our State and have brought it to bear in all the positions you have served at the Council and the State.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and people of Delta, I felicitate with a great son of Delta, Chief Andrew Orugbo on the occasion of his 63rd birth anniversary.
“As a chieftain of our great party in Udu, you have continued to provide the needed support for our party’s visibility and presence in the area,” he said.
The Governor joined family members, friends and associates of the Ogbe-Udu born political tactician and quintessential gentleman in celebrating a life of many accomplishments.
He prayed that Almighty God would strengthen him and grant him good health in his journey of life and continued service to our dear State and humanity.
