Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the immediate dissolution of the board of all state government commissions, parastatals and agencies.
The dissolution is in exercise of his constitutional powers and also, for public interest.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, clarified that the dissolution does not affect the Civil Service Commission, Judicial Service Commission, Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, and House of Assembly Service Commission.
Others not also affected, according to the statement, are Local Government Service Commission, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Governing Councils of Educational Institutions; and Delta State Board of Internal Revenue.
The statement requested all chief executive officers of the affected commissions, parastatals and agencies to hand over to the administrative heads in their respective offices.
