CP Disu honoured for anti-crime exploits in Rivers

In a joint ceremony held at the Rivers State Police Command headquarters, the Cp was honored by the Orashi community for his exceptional leadership in enhancing the security architecture of the state. The commendation came in light of recent successes, including the apprehension of notorious cult leader Mr. Gift David Okpara (2 Baba) in Ahoada.

The Orashi Region, comprising Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West, and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas, united in praising Commissioner Disu and the Rivers State Police Command for bolstering confidence in law enforcement and fostering unity within the community.

Comrade Emeni Ibe, the President General of Orashi National Congress, lauded Commissioner Disu as the most distinguished holder of the position in Rivers State, highlighting the unprecedented achievements made under his stewardship. He extended gratitude to the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies for their support.

A special mention was made of the Divisional Police Officers and Area Commands in various localities for their dedication and commitment. The Orashi National Congress’ executive council conferred an award of honor upon CP Tunji Disu, recognizing him as the premier Commissioner of Police.

In response, the Commissioner of Police, Cp Tunji Disu, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated the constitutional duty of the police to protect life and property. He emphasized the global condemnation of criminal acts and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining law and order in Rivers State.

Acknowledging the importance of community cooperation in tackling crime, the Commissioner of Police assured the Orashi National Congress and the people of Rivers State of continued collaboration between the police force and other security agencies He vowed to relentlessly pursue criminals and uphold the rule of law to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.

In addition, CP Tunji Disu acknowledged the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, Ph.D , NPM, for providing the enabling environment and necessary tools to work without interference. He expressed appreciation for the support received, which enabled the Rivers State Police Command to achieve remarkable results within a short period of time.

While thanking the community leaders for the award and recognition, the Commissioner of Police urged them to continue their support cooperation to the Command for a safe, secure, and prosperous Rivers State.
