The Nigerian Army Headquarters has urged Nigerians to disregard fake news of death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja.
They described the story, which went viral as ‘fake news’ on their X and Instagram pages.
Besides, a competent military information source, Zagazola Makama also told The Guardian that it is a fake story.
According to him, “Please disregard the rumors circulating about the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja. The false reports purported by unverifiable sources is baseless and misleading.
“The public are advised to rely on credible sources for information and disregard such misinformation from unreliable sources.”
