CDS Musa Gives Back To Birthplace, Rebuilds Hospital

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has renovated Gwiwa Community hospital, reconnecting with age-long friends in the Gwiwa Low-Cost Community, where he spent his childhood.

The CDS inaugurated the project when he visited his childhood neighborhood to celebrate his birthday on December 25, 2023.

As a meaningful gesture, the CDS inaugurated a hospital project within the community, emphasising his commitment to improving the well-being of the residents.

The defence chief also visited Mallam Yahaya Abdulkareem Model Primary School, where had his primary education from 1974 to 1980.

Embracing a people-centric approach, General Musa undertook the renovation of the Gwiwa Community hospital, fostering connections with old neighbors and childhood friends.

The community, expressed their gratitude to the CDS by displaying placards to convey their appreciation for the newly inaugurated hospital.

It is worth noting that on the preceding day, as part of his Christmas and birthday celebrations, the CDS generously distributed hampers and cash to ailing personnel during his visit to the Defence Headquarters Hospital immediately after the church service.

Gen. Musa, fostering morale and camaraderie, shared a Christmas lunch with the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji.

He urged them to remain steadfast in the fight against terrorism, assured the troops of his unwavering support and conveyed the President’s goodwill message, emphasizing a collective resolve to overcome challenges.
