Breaking News: Okowa’s aide, Sowho, murdered by assailants in Sapele

There is palpable fear in Delta central area as the Special Assistant to Delta State governor on Youth Development, Comrade Okiemute Sowho popularly known as Daddy K, has been killed by assailants in Sapele.

Oasis Magazine reports that he was shot at a close range by unknown gunmen along Crudas road by Akintola Road, Sapele, Delta State.

His Killers are said to have driven in a white Venza car and shot him at a close range before zooming off.

According to sources, the deceased had gone to check on a building he was said to be erecting in the vicinity when the assailants surfaced and opened fire on him.

“They came in a white Venza and shot him at close range before speeding off” a source who craved anonymity and claimed to have seen the assailants said.

Sympathisers were said to have taken him to a private hospital in the area where the doctors confirmed him dead on arrival before his remains were deposited in the mortuary.

He was a former Councillorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ward 3 in Sapele Local Government Area

His Refuel Okowa project, which was set up in 2019, an initiative aimed at fueling 100 tricycles and 100 motorcycles monthly aimed at encouraging the people of Sapele, where he resides, were his little ways of promoting the governor’s prosperity agenda.

Last year, Sowho was appointed the Special Assistant to the Governor on youth development, a position he held until his death.
