Former Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer (DPRO), SP Matilda Umiah Ngbaronye has bagged the Miss Security Nigeria Award.
She received the award alongside other senior police officers of Lagos State Police Command.
Ngbaronye is currently the Secretary to the Lagos State Police Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
Miss Nigeria security is said to be beauty pageant event dedicated to security.
Speaking after receiving the award, the officer had said that she has the best job in the world, as she is sacrificing for country and humanity.
According to her, “My job is passion and compassion combined. In my next life, I will be a police officer again.’
‘Being in uniform gives me a super human feeling because I know being able to lay your life for your country and humanity is the best job that anyone can have. Nigerian Police Force giving me the platform is the best thing ever.”
Ngbaronye, widely described as a quintessential cop with captivating mien was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on April 19, 2010. She has served in various capacities in Lagos State Police Command.
Before her appointment as secretary tyo the CP, she had served as the DPPRO Lagos State Police Command, she was the Crime Officer, Dolphin Estate Division, Ikoyi, General Investigation /Fingerprint Expert at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCIID Panti, the Officer-in-Charge, Public Complainants Bureau, (PCB), after which she was deployed to African Union Mission in Somalia AMISOM where she made the country proud and excelled as the Public Information Officer (PIO).
DSP Matilda Umiah Ngbaronye, a good image manager and Associate Member of the prestigious Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR), has attended the Advanced Detective Course, (ADC), Human Rights Protection Course and many others courses both within and outside Nigeria.
She had assisted the Lagos State police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi in no fewer measure in galvanizing media support for Lagos State police boss, Hakeem Odumosu.
Her passion for Public Relations and new media management is unprecedented.
